Neighborhoods: Fort Greene, Clinton Hill

About me: Hi everyone! My name is Rachel and I have loved animals for as long as I can remember. Everyone assumed I would end up in Veterinary school. Along the way, I became an EMT and started on the path of Medical School. I stayed in Medical School for one year, but quickly realized that I had strayed from my true dream of working with animals. I have had many pets growing up, including a Cairn Terrier named Charlie and Kellie, a Shetland Sheepdog. I am currently an owner of the most loving, happy little Boston Terrier named Oreo. You won't often see me without her.. she is my other half! I have worked for animal shelters and for the ASPCA. It was important for me to be able to help animals that are in need. I am currently working towards getting my certificate as a veterinarian tech and still see Veterinary school in my future. Ultimately, I want to own a house with a large yard where I can have my own shelter to save animals that would otherwise perish in the shelters, and give them happy homes!
