About me: I grew up around cats and dogs, and have fond memory of my furry "siblings". In college, I volunteered at the Humane Society, where my love for animals really gelled, as well as a profound sadness at how some of them are treated. Since then, I've always had a special place in my heart for shelter/rescue dogs, and I'm particularly adept at caring for dogs with special needs or troubled backgrounds. I'm currently getting my Red Cross Animal First Aid Certification.

In Kansas City, MO, where I'm from and had my own dog walking business, people had back yards. It's very different from NYC. The dogs here need exercise, vigorous play, air. I moved here to pursue comedy writing, got a job caring for dogs at the New York Dog Spa on 91st, and am elated to be walkin' dogs with ProspectBArk.

"After Matt had been walking Dexter for a few weeks, I mentioned in passing that Dexter loves to play fetch in the yard, but I don't get out with him much because of my bad knees. I found out a month later from one of my neighbors that Matt had started throwing the ball for Dexter in the back yard after he walked him. Matt never said anything about it, and he never charged me for it. I thought that was really nice."

"...in a while I started to suspect that Fritz liked Matt better than me. I was jealous, so I started bringing Fritz bones when I came home from work to even the odds. If you hire Matt, prepare for an increase in your bone budget!"
