Neighborhoods: Prospect Heights, Park Slope

About me:

Since the day my parents brought me home from the hospital, I have been surrounded by dogs and cats. There were never less than two dogs in our home, often cats too (Scratchy, Hazel, and Samson), and we currently have three wonderful mutts who are just as much part of the family as my sister and I. Cupcake, a sassy chihuahua-terrier mix; Briscoe, a regal shepherd of some sort; and Jackson, a lab-beagle mix who is the love of my life! Moving to New York while they remain in California has been one of the hardest things I've had to do and I miss them with all of my heart. As a dog walker and sitter, however, I get to fill that void by spending my days with all kinds of great pups who enjoy being out and about as much as I do. Sometimes when I'm not working, my best friend and I will even go to a local dog park with a cup of coffee just to watch the dogs play and run around. It's so much fun! Though we can't have dogs in our apartment, my new roommate has two cats and I am oh so excited to have them waiting for cuddles when I come home at the end of the day. I truly am happiest when I'm with animals and even plan to have a career as either a trainer or dog rehabilitation specialist--or both!! Working at Prospect Bark lets me do what I love on a daily basis and I don't think it gets much better than that!
