About me:

A born nurturer, I spent the first 13 years of my life surrounded by canine companions of all different sizes and breeds in a private house in Brooklyn, NY. There was the "Don't let anything soil my beautiful coat" Bichon Frise named Chippy, and the "I'm rugged and playful, so why'd you guys pair me with Chippy, the prude" Rottweiler-Terrier mix named Speedy. Then came the bolt at the drop of a dime German Shepherd mix, named Petey and the "My owners feed me ten times a day because I'm so lovable" Husky Mix, named Harlem. Later there was the Shi Tzu, named Danny, who never grew weary of literally lounging in the lap of luxury, as he never seemed to leave my cousin's grasp. All of these four-legged creatures were an integral part of my family and my upbringing. Racing home from school each day, dashing our backpacks and lunchboxes in our rooms and jetting to the backyard to greet our bewhiskered buddies was a daily privilege that no one of us took for granted. Even after leaving home to attend high school at a boarding school in Connecticut, I found myself in the familiar realm of the storybook family -- 2.5 kids, white picket fence, and a dog/cat -- as more than 50% of the faculty that lived on campus had a canine or feline addition to their families, which made my transition all the more smooth. It's no wonder that I ended up working at a doggie daycare as a supervisor nearly twelve years after the departure [*dabs eyes*] of my last family dog. I'm no certified dog whisperer, but my heart speaks to every dog I encounter with every empathetic and loving gaze and glance I give them. I would love to coo, cuddle, confabulate, jog, race, run, and playfully tussle with your pet, no matter her/his temperament.

A happy pet is one that never wants for affection, attention, and activity. You can trust me to provide your loved one with tons of all three while you are away at work or on vacation.
