About me: I am a dog person. Scratch that. I am THE dog person. I make Cesar Milan look like a mailman. I have never lived in a household without dogs! As a kid, my parents worked a lot, so the responsibility of taking care of them always fell on me. I would walk them (Large dogs, sometimes two at a time, as a kid you can imagine how hard this would be), bathroom train them, give them baths, keep them entertained, etc. I spent enough time with them that my cloths where always covered in dog hairs, so some of the kids at school dubbed me "Dog boy". I don’t think it was meant to be flattering though. Later on, in my teen years, I would often make money by taking care of my neighbor's dogs for them when they went on long trips. I love cats too, incidentally. My current cat, Buttermilk, is very old but very sweet. When I was going to college in Richmond Va. I had no cat that lived with me, Richmond however, is known for its large population of strays. I would always make a habit of buying cans of cat food whenever I went shopping and leaving them out for some of the shy, skittish stray cats near my porch. After about 2 years of this, I had over half a dozen fat, healthy outside cats that were comfortable around people and I had names for each one of them. When some of my more cranky neighbors started complaining, and I realized that I was spending too much money on cat-food, I eventually started giving them away to my friends and friends-friends. Buttermilk, old and with a limp, was the one left over. I still love her with all my heart though.
